What the EU EED requires
The EU Energy Efficiency Directive (2024/1364) requires data centres with an installed IT power demand of 500 kW or more to report annually to the European Commission. Annex I defines the mandatory data fields.
Many of these fields are asset-derived — they come from your inventory, not your BMS or power meters. Struktive pre-populates these fields from your asset CSV, reducing the reporting burden significantly.
Asset-derived fields Struktive pre-populates
- Number of installed servers (by site)
- Number of installed storage devices
- Number of installed network devices
- Number of installed UPS units and total kVA capacity
- Number of installed cooling units
- Number of populated racks
- IT power demand per rack (W) — from model enrichment
- EU EED 500 kW threshold flag
