DCIM export profiles

Three platform-specific export profiles, each producing the exact format required by the target DCIM's bulk import API.

NetBox

CSVSlug-based

Produces a slug-based CSV compatible with NetBox's bulk import API. Device types are matched against the NetBox DeviceType Library — matched devices receive the canonical slug, unmatched devices are flagged in the pre-flight report.

Pre-flight validation

After download, a pre-flight summary panel shows what needs to be done in NetBox before running the import:

Custom roles that must be created in NetBox before import
Device types not found in the DeviceType Library
Site slugs that don't exist in the target NetBox instance
Records with missing mandatory fields (device type, site)

Device42

CSV3-row header

Produces a three-row-header CSV in Device42's bulk import format. Device42 auto-creates manufacturers, hardware models, buildings, and racks on import — no pre-flight object creation required. The most turnkey of the three profiles.

Pre-flight validation

After download, a pre-flight summary panel shows what needs to be done in Device42 before running the import:

Records with missing hostname (required by Device42)
Records where U position could not be parsed
Assets classified as Out of Scope (excluded from export)

Sunbird dcTrack

Produces a multi-sheet XLSX. The main sheet contains assets in dcTrack's import format with hierarchical location strings. A companion 'Models Not Found' sheet lists device types that must be added to the dcTrack Models Library before import.

Struktive Native CSV

A flat 30-column CSV with all normalised fields, quality score, classification confidence, pipe-delimited issues list, and chain-of-custody metadata. Intended for CMDB, ServiceNow, custom tooling, or any system that doesn't use one of the three DCIM profiles.

EU EED Pre-Report

Pre-populates the asset-derived fields of EU Energy Efficiency Directive Annex I and II: installed IT power demand, rack counts, server/storage/network/cooling counts, and UPS capacity. Exported as a structured CSV for upload to the EU EED reporting portal.
